Off Campus Resellers
Important News!
All Off-Campus Resellers wishing to become Adobe Academic Authorized must apply and become accepted into the program.
The authorization process involves the following steps:
- Complete and submit the online application at this site.
- Adobe reviews completed application
- Adobe awards contract if requirements are met
This process usually takes 2-4 weeks to complete.
Criteria
Adobe's Academic Off-Campus Reseller Program is designed to authorize a select group of resellers who:
- Can best match new technology to education customers
- Cater to the seasonal purchasing environment
- Are experts in licensing and marketing to various education segments
Successful Academic Resellers make significant investments in strong Education Sales and Marketing Plans to ensure accurate Education End User validation. The low cost of Education Software makes the market a significant target for software piracy. Adobe's new Academic Authorization Program is intended to reduce piracy and encourage a consistent program quality among Authorized Resellers, which will help protect the investment of our partners dedicated to serving this important market.
Applications will be evaluated on:
1. Completeness of the Application
All Off-Campus Resellers are required to submit a completed Adobe Academic Off-Campus Reseller Application to be considered for initial authorization. To be considered, the application must be completed in its entirety and returned back to Adobe via email or via fax. See below for more information. Consideration will be given to the comprehensiveness of the application. Updated applications must be submitted for annual authorization renewal.
2. Education Sales Achievements
Initial Authorization
As a guideline, we seek applicants who can show evidence of having achieved a minimum of $150,000 in the US, $120,000 in CA in sales of academic software during the past 12 months.
Maintaining Authorization
Authorized Adobe off-campus resellers must achieve a minimum of $70,000 (US) or $50,000 (CA) annually in Adobe software product sales. In addition, a $15,000 (US) or $7000 (CA) quarterly minimum is required. Authorization may be terminated for failure to reach the minimum requirements in two consecutive quarters.
3. Strength of Academic Sales and Marketing Plan
The application will be evaluated based on each reseller's marketing and sales activities focused on educational end-users. Customer and vendor references may be checked to evaluate the service provided by the reseller.
4. Evidence of Process Control for End-User Validation
Resellers must describe their process for verification of end-user eligibility, describe their process for storing and retrieving appropriate verification documentation and outline their internal training process to ensure adherence to requirements.
Adobe Systems, Inc. reserves the right to alter the criteria or invite at its discretion any reseller to participate in the program.
